Garlic

Garlic is a plant that grows in temperate climates and is widely cultivated in Turkey, especially in Central Anatolia, Marmara and Mediterranean regions. The cold winters and mild summers in these regions are favorable for the growth of garlic.

Garlic cultivation begins with soil preparation and planting shallots. The soil should be well drained and rich in organic matter. Garlic likes cold weather conditions and requires regular watering and fertilization during the growth process. Weeding and soil aeration are also important.

When it is time to harvest, the garlic heads ripen well and are removed from the soil. Yields vary depending on soil conditions and the shallots used. Fresh garlic is often used in kitchens, both in cooking and as a health beneficial ingredient.
