Onion

Onion is a hardy plant that can grow in a wide range of climates. It is cultivated in all regions of Turkey, especially in fertile soils such as Central Anatolia and Marmara.

Onion cultivation usually starts with sowing seeds or shallots. Planted in spring, onions grow quickly with regular watering and weeding. Light and well-drained soils are ideal for healthy onion growth. In addition, the onion plant is sensitive to excess water, so watering balance is important.
